FAQ

  • What is the difference between OEM and ODM?

OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturing." It means a company that manufactures products other companies on consignment. On the other hand, ODM is an acronym for "Original Design Manufacturing" and refers to the contractor undertaking not only production but also the design of products for consignor's brand.
OEM is characterized by the fact that only production and manufacturing are performed by the contractor company, while design and specifications must be prepared by the consignor. In contrast, ODM is where the contractor company undertakes the entire process from brand design to manufacturing, so even if the client does not have the technical know-how, it is possible to create products that suit the target market.
